David Dawson-Taylor

David spent 34 years in the Royal Navy as an Air Engineer Officer in the Fleet Air Arm. He retired from the service in 1986 and then spent the next 7 years as an Administrator in the Department of Electronics and Computer Science at Southampton University, UK.

David became interested in Nevil Shute and his novels many years ago, and only realised that there was a dedicated following when he found the Nevil Shute Foundation website.

After attending UK 2003, having assisted Stephanie Gallagher with a small part of the planning, including devising the "Magical Mystery Tour", he was persuaded to take over the UK library.

David took over as webmaster in October 2007, and has (October 2015) now handed this responsibility over to John Anderson, our President.

David lives with his wife Kate in southern Hampshire, UK.
